I missed the Pinacles at Mulu and here I came the pinnacles desert at WA.

Lobster Shack
One of the highlights of our WA trip.
We ordered 2 sets of lobster meal with garlic fried rice + 1 a la carte fries and the bill total is AUD 89.
Quite yummy as the lobsters are fresh and sweet. Cina being Cina, we need to have our rice whenever it's available.
Caversham Wildlife Park
We rushed ourselves to "Caversham Wildlife Park" early in the morning as the schedule was pretty tight for that day.
My 1st meet with a koala. 要拍她,她头转来转去,很讨厌。
Such a cute wombat.
Kangaroos. We didn't dare to go close and feed the kangaroos.
Nursing the Joey.
Bottle feeding the lambs
Aiyoh, these white chickens are so cute. They are in pristine white.
Alpacas
Tak tau apa ni! I remembered my mama asked me if I wanna have a photo with python wrapping around my neck after this shot and I rejected her offer.
Sisters with the wombat
The admission price per pax is AUD 28.
Parrot in pastel pink. Too beautiful.
Farm Show - Sheep shearing for wool
I think I've never seen half of the animals in this wildlife park.
It's overall a very fun experience!

A day in Fremantle
Fremantle is a port city in Western Australia that's part of the Perth metropolitan area. It's known for its maritime history, Victorian architecture and remnants from Australia's days as a British penal colony.
At the bus stop, waiting to hop onto the free CAT bus
We first headed to the Cicerello's for the famous fish & chips. We picked Cicerello's over Kailis as we got a 15% discount coupon for Cicerello's.
The food here was such a disappointment! And, from what I can remember, the bill total was around AUD 70. There's really nothing to rant about this restaurant and the two sisters kept saying how good the fish & chips that they have tried at Tasmania a few years back was. Never once in my life I've eaten good fish & chips.
Really???
Beautiful Harbour view by the restaurant
The next stop was Fremantle Markets, a busy indoor market dating to 1897 with stalls selling food, local produce, clothes & handicrafts. I'm not a "market" person as I don't want to end up buying a lot of unnecessary things which turn into trash at the end.
Fremantle prison.
Street view on the way walking to the round house.
Posing at the round house.
We also visited the E-shed market where I got this kangaroo soft toy with Joey for YJ.
We had some beers at "Little Creatures Brewery" also.
We parked our rented car at a free parking area somewhere in Fremantle and got around Fremantle by the free CAT bus.
The interior of the restaurant
I bought 2 pieces of hand made soap and a cup of latte here.
We didn't pay and went into the prison as it didn't really interest us. However, it's interesting to know that the women's division is now the Fremantle Prison YHA.
The Round House was the first permanent building built in the Swan River Colony. Built in late 1830 and opened in 1831, it is the oldest building still standing in Western Australia.
The Round House was used for colonial and indigenous prisoners until 1886, when control of the Convict Establishment prison (now Fremantle Prison) was transferred to the colony.
Before the sunsets, we got some ingredients for dinner at Coles Fremantle and headed back to Como for the day.
Accommodation @ Perth
For a total of 4 nights stay at Perth, we opted for this "Quaint two bed unit with pool" located at Como from airbnb, which requires a 5 minutes walk to the train station and only one stop from Perth CBD, Kings Park.
I really love this place. It's well equipped with everything that we need. It costed us Sgd 32.70 per night per pax and it's totally worth every penny that we paid.

Perth City YHA
For our 1st night at Perth, L & I stayed at this Perth City YHA as J & mum will only be arriving the next morning.
We checked in at around 9pm+++, took a quick shower and had cup noodles for dinner at this pantry.
We opted for "4 female shared room" at AUD 32 per pax. The room is actually quite small, worse than what we have expected.
Free food left by others at the hostel
From what I can remember, my "hostels experience" at Boston & Washington D.C is much more better!
The kitchen is a little messy.
Anyway, it's just one night stay. We left very early the next morning, walked around 1km to collect our rented car, headed to the airport to pick up J & mum.
1st Oct_Traveling to Perth
From what I can remember, we came out with a plan of traveling to Perth for vacation with mum during this Chinese New Year. Later on, with months of monitoring the airfare, we finally purchased the air tickets @ Sgd 3xx.
This day has finally come. After bidding goodbye to YJ (阿姨拍Joey回来给你看har), with 1 small luggage & 1 backpack each, L & I left home at 830am to Changi Airport via mrt. While checking in our luggage, we were informed that our flight will be delayed for an hour. We then proceeded to the foodcourt for breakfast.
Bak Kut Teh Vermicelli + Kopi Si Siew Dai
I know that I will certainly crave for Asian Food when I am at Australia.
In-flight meal - Singapore Signature Chicken Rice - definitely not very fantastic but not too bad for an in-flight meal
I can't wait to have lots of beers, wines, ice-creams at Perth!
P/s : This above article is written on the plane to Perth, with migraines attacking me.
The weather is pretty chilly tonight!

Gunung Mulu National Park
I can't really remember since when I've included Mulu in my travel bucket list.
Also, this was my maiden visit to Sarawak. I think I've conquered all 13 states in Malaysia. :)
Gunung Mulu is Sarawak’s largest national park (544 sq km), and also Malaysia’s first World Heritage Area.
We flew to Miri, Sarawak from Singapore, stayed a night at Miri and flew via MASwings to Mulu the next morning. Gunung Mulu National Park is not so accessible in my opinion as domestic flight is required to get there.

Famous Sarawak Food, Kolo Mee - very bland
Dinner @ Meng Chai Seafood @ Miri
Greens from Borneo - not suitable for my liking
The park’s main attractions are the four show caves (Wind, Clearwater, Deer and Langs Caves), all readily accessible by wooden walkways and paths.
stalactite @ Lang's Cave
Glow worm larvae in cave
Clearwater Cave
Abraham Lincoln rock profile, Deer Cave
Deer Cave and Lang's Cave
Giant pill millipede in rolled-up position
river in tropical rainforest
Batu Bungan Penan Settlement - trying the blowpipe by Penan People
Swim at the Clearwater Spring
The 8km trek through beautiful rainforest and along the Litut river to Melinau Camp (Camp 5) where we stay overnight.
Room 2 @ Camp 5 - an unusual accommodation experience
The Melinau River in front of Camp 5
The Monkey Bridge on Headhunters Trail
Longtail Boat experience
Famous Wild vegetable in Sarawak - Bilin
Dinner at the longhouse
Very unfortunately, we didn't get to see the significant mass bat exodus out of Deer cave in Mulu National Park. Overall, it's nice to be immersed in nature, be away from the city once in a while.
